A major OMB+ update is expected on October 15, 2025.
The Cosh Committee has expanded the minimum requirements catalog to include the topic of Statistics
(see https://cosh-mathe.de/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/makV3.0.pdf).
To address this, the consortium decided to adjust the three chapters IX (2D Coordinate Systems), X (Vector Geometry), and XIII (Statistics Supplement Module):
- Chapters IX and X are revised and consolidated. This results in the new Chapter IX (Vector Geometry).
- The contents of Chapter XIII (Statistics Supplement Module) are streamlined and supplemented with an introduction to data representation. This results in the new Chapter X (Statistics).
- Chapter XIII (Supplementary Module on Stochastics) will be replaced at a later date by a revised version.
All other chapters remain unchanged. The update takes place on October 15.
The mentioned changes have implications for all those working toward a certificate and who have started the final exams of Chapters IX and X.
These must be completed by October 14 to ensure that the work already done is not lost.
Otherwise, the final exams of both chapters must be retaken.Online Mathematics Bridging Course OMB+
What is this about?

How is the course structured?
The main part of the course is topically divided into 11 chapters, contentwise based on
the
recommendations of the COSH group
,
and additional modules exceeding those recommandations.
Each chapter or additional module begins
with an overview of its sections.
A section consists of four components:
- Expository texts with built-in videos, explanations, examples, and quick checks of understanding: All important concepts are briefly explained in full.
- Exercises − This is how it's done: In sample problems the usual solution methods are shown in full.
- Training − Learning by doing: Here you can practice until you feel confident.
- Quiz − Understood everything?: This is where your understanding of the content is checked.
Each chapter or additional module has a final exam which checks your understanding of the content and concepts of its sections.
